By cutting a simple dovetail on both sides, the DCT Splice Jig creates a stronger and more stable splice than either a butt or lap joint. The ability to make a perfectly accurate and repeatable cut, means the possibilities are now endless.

Each 4 x 8 Jig is designed to be used on logs milled to full dimension 4″ x 8″ with a variance of +/- 1/4″

Jig comes with one set of bar guides.

This jig clamps on the end of the log and guides the chainsaw perfectly for a series of cuts to make a flawless dovetail. The jig utilizes wingnuts for fast and easy clamping on each log.

FEATURES:

Made from heavy-duty steel. Used as intended and stored appropriately, this jig will last more than a lifetime.

Inner rails ensure accurate placement on the log.

Bottom side is used to first make a perfectly straight end-cut, the jig is turned end-for-end and refastened to the log to cut the dovetail, repeat on second log to make the joint.

Note: If your chainsaw bar is set up to use the dovetail jig of the same size, it will also work for the splice jig.
