6 x 8 Dovetail Jig

The Dovetail Cabin Tools Dovetail Jig is designed for a timber with a 6″ width, 8″ height and leaves a 1″ chink gap. This jig clamps on the end of the log and guides the chainsaw perfectly for a series of cuts to make a flawless dovetail. The jig utilizes wingnuts for fast and easy clamping on each log.

Each jig is made to accommodate a variance of +/- 1/4″ in the log.

6 x 8 Splice Jig

By cutting a simple dovetail on both sides, the DCT Splice Jig creates a stronger and more stable splice than either a butt or lap joint. The ability to make a perfectly accurate and repeatable cut, means the possibilities are now endless.

Each 6 x 8 Jig is designed to be used on logs milled to 6″w x 8″h with a variance of +/- 1/4″

Chainsaw

Upgrade your Dovetail Jig to a ready-to-build package that comes with an Echo chainsaw already fitted with the bar guides. This ensures you have no need for cutting or drilling to start using the dovetail jig. All you need is to add gas and oil to the chainsaw and you are ready to begin your dream home build.
