The 8″ Dovetail Cabin Tools dovetail jigs are designed for building with logs milled to 8″ height. This jig clamps on the end of the log and guides the chainsaw perfectly for a series of cuts to make a flawless dovetail. The jig utilizes wingnuts for fast and easy clamping on each log.

Jig Comes with one set of bar guides.

FEATURES:

This long-eared critter is made from heavy-duty steel. Used as intended and stored appropriately, this jig will last more than a lifetime.

Inner rails allow for +/- 1/4 of log height and ensure accurate placement on the log. View holes increase versatility to use dimensional logs with rounded shoulders.

Dual-purpose: the bottom side is used to first make a perfectly straight end-cut, the jig is then refastened to the log to cut each side of the dovetail joint with the top guides.

Each jig is hand-made to order and may take up to 2 weeks to process.
